How NextCaregiver collects, uses, protects, and deletes account and family care information.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address and the care information you choose to enter, including updates, appointments, tasks, medications, provider contacts, insurance details, availability, and documents. Please do not enter Social Security numbers or payment-card details.
How we use information
We use information to provide the private family care workspace, organize user-entered notes, send privacy-safe notifications, support your account, prevent misuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal or care information.
Sharing and permissions
Information is shared with invited members according to their access to each care recipient, and with service providers needed to operate the app. The family owner can remove a member’s access. Removal cannot recall downloaded files, screenshots, or previously received information; an already issued file link may remain usable for up to five minutes. Email notifications omit health details.
AI-assisted organization
With your consent, Base44 and its AI service providers process your note or recording to create text and an editable draft. Audio transcription currently uses Gemini through Base44. Record only with permission from anyone whose voice is captured. Submitted original notes and recordings remain in the family workspace. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed. We record your consent version and time without copying your note into that consent record.
Storage, security, and retention
We use authentication, permission-based records, protected file links, and encrypted network connections. No online service can promise absolute security. Information is retained while your account or care space is active and as reasonably needed for security, legal, and backup purposes.
Your choices and account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app under Care Team & Files, then Account. Deletion removes your account and care-record rows you own or authored and removes your membership from shared spaces. File storage and provider backups are separate: uploaded files are recorded for follow-up cleanup, and their physical erasure is not yet automatically verified. Minimal consent, security, billing, or legally required records may remain. We do not currently promise a fixed backup-erasure deadline. You may also request access, correction, or export through the NextCaregiver contact page. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or on the web; cancel it through the original payment channel first.
Children and changes
NextCaregiver is intended for adults coordinating care and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the updated date here.
